What TherapistsNearMe is
TherapistsNearMe is a directory and discovery service. We are not a healthcare provider, we do not provide medical or psychological advice, and we are not a party to the relationship between you and any therapist you contact. Any engagement, sessions, and fees are strictly between you and the professional.
Not for emergencies
This platform is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 112, or reach Tele-MANAS at 14416 for free, confidential mental-health support.
What our verification means — and doesn't
Before a profile goes live we check the professional's credentials: registration numbers against the NMC/RCI registers where they exist, and degrees plus screening for counsellors, where no statutory register exists. Verification is a good-faith check of qualifications at the time of listing. It is not a guarantee of therapeutic outcomes, availability, or ongoing conduct. If any registration number displayed on our site fails to check out, report it — the profile comes down while we investigate.
Acceptable use
Use enquiry forms only for genuine appointment or consultation requests. Do not submit false information, spam professionals, harass anyone, or scrape the platform. We may block abusive usage.
Any misuse of the platform — including impersonation, submission of false or fraudulent information, misrepresentation of professional credentials, harassment of listed professionals or users, or unauthorised extraction of data — may result in immediate suspension or termination of access. We reserve the right to report such conduct to the appropriate law-enforcement authorities and to pursue all civil and criminal remedies available under applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
For listed professionals
By listing, you confirm the information and documents you provide are accurate and yours. Legally protected titles (such as "Clinical Psychologist") may only be used where the law permits. Misrepresentation leads to suspension or delisting, and our verification records may be shared with authorities where required by law.
Listing terms for professionals
Listing is subscription-based: every profile starts with a 90-day free trial that begins when the profile first goes live, followed by a listing fee if you choose to continue (current plans are shown at sign-up; founding members get their offered rate). We never take a commission on your sessions, we never charge your clients, and client enquiries go directly to you — we are not an intermediary in your professional relationship.
You can delist at any time by writing to us — there is no notice period, no cancellation fee, and no lock-in. Your profile is taken down promptly on request, and non-renewal simply delists the profile at the end of the paid term. Delisted profiles are removed from public view; reactivation is available on request.
We verify your credentials against the relevant register before your profile goes live and display your registration number publicly — that is the platform's core promise. In return you keep your profile information accurate (fees, availability, credentials) and tell us about material changes, such as a lapsed registration. We may suspend a profile while a verification question is investigated.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TherapistsNearMe is provided "as is" and we are not liable for the acts, omissions, or services of professionals listed on the platform, or for outcomes of engagements formed through it.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at New Delhi having jurisdiction.
